# Use project and team chats

Link a task, choose emoji, edit recent messages and understand the same chat controls before and after project launch.

## Open the permitted conversation

Open the available team or project conversation from Project management before launch, or from Project Workspace during delivery. The channels and participants follow your access. A shared project does not expose every company conversation.

## Write and link context

1. **Compose the message:** Type in the composer. Open the emoji picker to browse categories or search, then choose an emoji to insert it.
2. **Link a task:** Use Link task, search or scroll the task list, and tap the task you want. On mobile, swipe to scroll the list, then tap the intended task.
3. **Send:** Review the text and linked task, then use the send button. Opening or typing a message does not send it.

## Edit or delete within 24 hours

Click or tap your own eligible message to open its action menu. Edit and Delete are available for 24 hours from creation. Older messages do not expose those actions.

Click away, press Escape or choose the message again to dismiss the menu. Opening another message’s menu closes the previous one. Text selection and links retain their own behavior.

The same message-action and emoji controls are used in the pre-launch Team chat and in Workspace conversations. Server authorization still applies to editing and deletion.

## If a conversation is missing

- Check the project and the chosen channel.
- Confirm your project participation and channel access.
- If a load fails, retry it; an empty conversation and a failed load are different states.
- For mobile keyboard or picker issues, include the browser and device in a support report.
