Signals is not a generic popularity feed. Each publication declares what the author is trying to do: introduce themselves, ask for advice, find people, share a case or know-how, ask a focused question, or open an opportunity.
Because the intent is structured, Collty can show the right action on each card and connect useful discussions to profiles, professional reputation, trusted introductions and Teams Canvas.

Publish a Signal people can act on
- 1Choose the intent first
Select the type before writing. This controls where the Signal appears and which primary action readers receive.
- 2Write a concrete title
Name the decision, question, capability or opportunity. Avoid promotional headlines that do not explain the professional value.
- 3Add enough context
Explain the situation, constraints and desired outcome. For team requests, include the project stage and the capabilities you need.
- 4Add roles, topics and industries
Structured context helps For you, search, Questions you can answer and People worth knowing find the right audience.
- 5Choose the appropriate audience
Use the available visibility scope deliberately. Never paste private project chat, confidential files or client-only information into a Signal.
- 6Publish and maintain it
Reply to useful contributions, resolve outdated requests and accept the strongest answer when the question has been solved.

Publish an Open project and assemble its team
Open project is a publication type inside the same New Signal composer. Use the single + action, choose Open project, and describe the work. There is no separate project-publishing button beside the composer.
The resulting candidate pool is private to the author. Collty ranks relevant applicants, keeps their source and status visible, and can fill only genuine capability gaps from registered professional profiles before opening one editable team in Teams Canvas.
- 1Open the New Signal composer
Choose + and select Open project from the publication types.
- 2Describe a real outcome
State what must be delivered, the project context, timing, constraints, useful roles, industries and capabilities. Better evidence produces a more defensible team recommendation.
- 3Collect professional interest
Registered specialists use Express interest. An expression of interest is an application signal; it does not add the person to a team or expose private project data.
- 4Open the Project candidate pool
The author uses View specialists to see applicants, source, status, fit evidence and complete profiles without losing the project Signal.
- 5Refresh the AI review
Build team or refresh the pool to rank qualified applicants against the project brief. When applicants do not cover a required capability, Collty can recommend a registered specialist from the wider professional base as a clearly identified AI recommendation.
- 6Control the candidate set
Remove an unsuitable candidate, restore one later, and inspect why a person is ranked. Applicant and AI-recommended sources remain distinguishable.
- 7Open one team in Teams Canvas
Build team carries the project brief and selected candidate set into one editable composition. It does not create several unrelated teams from one publication.
- 8Refine and save
Add, remove or replace specialists, review availability and Team Intelligence, name the team, and save it before launching the project or continuing in Project Architect.
